FANTASTIC FACTORY is an original label developed by FILMAX in all aspects of the cinematographic industry, employing from its inception the help of leading professionals from the sector and genre on an international level. Led by producer Julio Fernández (Manolito Gafotas, THE NAMELESS, Tierra del fuego, ...) and director Brian Yuzna (Reanimator, The Dentist, Necronomicon, ...), FANTASTIC FACTORY is a film product, reinvented with its own modern style thanks to top film-makers such as Yuzna himself and Stuart Gordon, and special effects experts who are helping to promote its competitiveness in an open and worldwide market through the release of quality commercial Spanish films with an international look worthy of productions of this genre. During the last five years FANTASTIC FACTORY has produced six fantasy films, all of them filmed in English. Through these films, it has established an outward looking industry in Barcelona. Each of the films include the work and efforts of professionals from within and beyond the country, of new talent and consummate, internationally renowned specialists. The six titles are: FAUST, directed by Brian Yuzna; ARACHNID, directed by Jack Shoulder and filmed in Mexico and Catalonia; DAGON, directed by Stuart Gordon and filmed in Galicia; DARKNESS, directed by Jaume Balgueró; BEYOND REANIMATOR, also directed by Brian Yuzna; and ROMASANTA, directed by Paco Plaza and filmed in Galicia. Future FANTASTIC FACTORY productions will be ROTTWEILER, directed by Brian Yuzna who will start shooting in March; THE NUN; and BENEATH STILL WATERS.
